Introduction
This policy explains how I collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit remotecreativeartworker.com or get in touch. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to respond to you and run this website.
Who I am
I am Phil Gibson, a UK-based freelance senior creative artworker and production specialist, trading as Remote Creative Artworker. I am the data controller for this website. You can reach me at phil@remotecreativeartworker.com.
What information I collect
- Enquiry details: when you use the contact form, I collect your name and studio/agency, email address, any deadline you mention, and the details of your brief.
- Technical data: like most websites, my host records standard server information such as IP addresses and browser type for security and reliability.
How information is collected
Directly from you when you complete the enquiry form or email me, and automatically through standard server logs kept by my hosting provider.
Contact form enquiries
The enquiry form is provided by WPForms. When you submit it, your details are sent to me by email so I can reply. Form submissions are not stored in a database on this website — they exist as the email you send me. I use this information only to respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver your project.
Cookies
This website does not set tracking or marketing cookies, and does not use website analytics. WordPress may set essential cookies only if you log in, which visitors to this site do not.
Fonts
This site displays fonts served by Google Fonts, which means your IP address is processed by Google to deliver the fonts. Please see Google’s privacy policy for more information.
Legal basis for processing (UK & EU GDPR)
- Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiry and keep the website secure.
- Contract — to deliver a project if you engage my services.
Data retention
Enquiry emails may be retained for up to 6 years where required for business, accounting or legal record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your enquiry data at any time, subject to any legal obligations to retain records.
Data security
The website uses HTTPS encryption. I take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit access to it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but I work to protect your data appropriately.
Third-party services
- Hostinger — hosting and server logs.
- WPForms — enquiry form (emails, no on-site storage).
- Google Fonts — font delivery.
My footer links to LinkedIn, Instagram and Behance; if you click these you are subject to those platforms’ own privacy policies.
International transfers
Some providers (such as Google) may process data outside the UK/EU. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
Your rights
