Liverpool 2008 Capital of Culture Identity
As part of the Liverpool European Capital of Culture 2008 programme, I contributed to the development and production of the official event logo, helping refine artwork and prepare the final identity for use across a wide range of applications. Working within a collaborative creative team, I was involved in ensuring the logo could be reproduced consistently across print, digital, environmental graphics, merchandise, and promotional materials while maintaining the integrity of the brand throughout its year-long programme of events.
Following the logo’s launch, I managed the production and supply of artwork assets to the Capital of Culture organisation and its extensive network of partners, sponsors, and suppliers. This included creating master artwork files, preparing brand assets in multiple formats, and providing technical guidance to ensure consistent implementation across hundreds of applications. The project required careful asset management, quality control, and close liaison with stakeholders to support one of the UK’s most significant cultural initiatives, helping deliver a unified visual identity throughout Liverpool’s landmark year as European Capital of Culture.
